UPDATE 14

Jack made it out of the ICU the first week of September (!) Once he was back on the regular floor, he rested, worked hard on healing from the shunt surgery, and began all kinds of therapy (physical, speech etc). He’s got a long road ahead, but this past week he was able to walk down the hallway with help and began saying some words - and I got some smiles on Saturday morning!

This past Wednesday, he began chemotherapy and, while it was tough, he fared well for this first cycle. He now has a 21 day break and will receive his second cycle the beginning of October. In the meantime, he’ll continue resting, healing, and working hard with his therapists (and watching the Ducks and Packers).
