UPDATE 07

Jack has been getting to know the wonderful nurses, who are doing their best to help alleviate his pain. I’ve been bringing them Starbucks in an attempt to keep them happy and alert :)

We’re still existing in this liminal space without much information, which has been tough. After talking to the neurosurgeon, Dr. Zahar, it’s looking like the plan is to wait for the results of the labs, which will likely arrive around Monday and will likely be inconclusive. If that’s indeed what happens, Jack will have a surgery on Wednesday that will consist of two parts:
1) grabbing a piece of the tumor on his pineal gland that will be biopsied so we know what we’re dealing with
and 2) poking a hole for additional drainage of spinal fluid, which will help address the hydrocephalus and relieve his symptoms.
